PDGA C Tier Event
BDGA 2008 Tour Event #5
The British
Disc Golf Association's 16th Scottish Open is to be held at Fanmore,
Isle of Mull, on the Bank Holiday weekend of Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th
May 2008.
The course at Fanmore is set over steep croft land, with outstandingly
beautiful coastal and mountain views all around, and totally exposed to
the weather. There are few trees, but the elevation changes, and wind,
provide a huge challenge to players, the likes of which they will not
experience anywhere else on the British Tour.
This event is always very popular, and it's the only tournament all year
offering every player four rounds of 18 holes. So don't miss this unique
and unforgettable weekend - register now.

Director Angus Bruce, 27 West Shore Street, Ullapool IV26 2UR;

There is a discussion thread running on the BDGA Forum about The Scottish
Open, to enable players to ask questions, make constructive suggestions,
arrange travel / accommodation etc - access the Forum here.
Sponsor
- The Scottish Open is sponsored by Del's
Discs - the disc-selling arm of Derek Robins' Quarry
Park empire. Del has won eleven of the fifteen Scottish Open events
on Mull, and his success is not just down to his annoyingly consistent
brilliance, but also to correct disc choice for Mull's unique course conditions.
Before heading for this most demanding of tournaments, contact Del to
ensure that you have all the disc golfing equipment you'll need.

Mull experience is the total lack of facilities!
Bring your own lunch and other refreshments for both days. Drinking
water will be available at the Course. There may also be other refreshments
for sale.
Shelter - none (bring warm, waterproof clothing and suitable hillwalking
footwear)
Toilets - in the house, and a chem-loo in a tent.
For food off-site/evening
meals you could try the Farm House Hotel in Calgary (more expensive than
cheap, booking probably required) or the pub in Dervaig. Tobermory has
the most choice with four pubs, a fish & chip van, an Indian takeaway
and a Co-op Supermarket.
